We've moved a few things around!
First, our wonderful Hoop Dance Class is now on Mondays.
Second, we have an amazing new Burlesque and Belly Dance instructor, Danielle. She will be teaching Burlesque on Tuesdays and Belly Dance on Wednesdays.
Third, we still have Pole on Thursdays with our new instructor from St. Louis, but we now have it late night Mondays too with Jess. And our Saturday drop-in (beginner level) is back at 11am with Lisa.
Don't forget we do still have Hip Hop with Quinn on Sundays at 5pm!!!! Also, look for Yoga starting up soon too!

What about Drop-ins?
We have had to change many of our classes to regular sessions and no all the time drop-ins. Some classes never had a drop-in option, and now they do. We hope the change gives people a chance to try the classes and offers our instructors a chance to keep a class together instead of having different students all the time. All classes now have a drop-in option for you to try the class. You can do this during the 1st or 2nd class of a session. Try the class and if you like it, just pay the balance to sign up for the rest of the session.
*Please note. Many classes do have a minumum student number to be able to start. If everyone purchases a drop-in for the first class the class WILL NOT start. Many classes need a 5-6 prepaid for the whole session student minumum. If you want to sign up for a whole session or are almost positive then please do so or contact us with questions.

Weekend Pole Drop-in is Back!!!!
Every Saturday (unless noted on the website/calendar) 11am
This class is officially for beginners (pre-invert) only. Unfortunately, we could not get an advanced instructor to teach this time slot. That's ok, cause Lisa is just a hell of a lot of fun and will help you build a great foundation for intermediate pole later on. If you are an intermediate student you can drop-in to this class for more of a practice session. Everyone should let us know they are coming by the day before class, but especially if you are intermediate level. We need to know whom to expect.

Burlesque Dance Classes

Burlesque 101
Learn how to be a total glamour queen, how to walk and dance in sky-high heels and how to exude confidence and sex appeal! And of course, you'll learn all the fundamentals of burlesque dance! You'll shimmy, shake, undulate, bump,grind, wiggle, jiggle, twirl and swirl your way through the classic burlesque moves and the use of the tools of tease, such as boas, canes, gloves and chairs.
• Music from the 30's to the early 60's
• How to find your own style and character, picking music, and the all important facial expressions.
• Take it home or to the stage, whatever you do you will be hooked!
• All classes are for any woman 18 to 80 any shape! any size!
• Learn and rediscover your gorgeous sexy self and bring out that sex appeal that every woman owns!
• This class is for the unexperienced and seasoned dancers. I frequently have taught all level courses in many fields of dance.

Intermediate/Advanced
Styles from Kitsch cabaret of European theatre to the more modern and sexy moves of a burlesque pussy cat doll.
It's time for glitz, glamour and a lot of sequins! Showgirl dancing is the ultimate girly fantasy, with all the old-world glamour of the 1940s and 1950s! If you've ever wanted to be a Rockette, a Vegas showgirl or steal the spotlight on Broadway, then this is the course for you! Every class includes stretching and strength exercises to work towards those showgirl high kicks and splits, plus you'll explore six different styles of showgirl dance - from Cabaret Broadway to Vintage Chorusline, Showgirl Chair Dance, Floorwork, Charleston, Salsa, Tap and Parisian Can Can! Over the six weeks the group will also learn a fun and glamorous showgirl routine

About Burlesque in Cleveland, Ohio
Yes, we do have burlesque in Cleveland and it's more than just this class. We have had a wonderful troupe, Le Femme Mystique Burlesque, headed by the beautiful and buxom Bella Sin. The Troupe is looking for new members and your journey can start at Cleveland Exotic Dance. Take some beginner classes, then when you're ready take our intermediate/advanced class. Troupe members can either use the student performance option as an audition or ask for an audition if they cannot do the performance option for some reason.
You can also easily be an independent performer. We also work with the Cleveland Burlesque Company. So not matter what your path into the world of burlesque we can get you there. Even if you never step a foot on stage, every woman should be able to bring out her burly girl.
