Monthly Pole Jams!

Pole Jams present an opportunity for the NE Ohio Pole dance community to get together and have a great time! Share tips and tricks, build a stronger community, have a great time, make new pole friends!

 

All Pole Students, Instructors, and potential students welcome.
(Potential students will not be taught, but can see what pole is all about and get info on classes at any area studio, not just CED. Remember this is about strengthening the community without boundaries.)
Please donate $5 if you will be using the equipment.

BRING OUT THE DOMINANT WOMAN!

Exploring Your Inner Domme
5 week Course
Starting Sunday, February 5th 6:30-7:30pm

This class focuses on the movement, mindset, and subtlety of sexual and sensual domination. Taught for women from any walk of life, age, and sexual orientation, this class will enhance your confidence and commitment to inventiveness and feminine sensuality during any type of sexy playtime!

Being on top is a mindset, and in this course you'll receive instruction from a Pro Domme who has worked with individuals and couples for four years, helping women to find their inner Dominant.

This is a beginners course for students who are curious about introducing Female Domination into their own mindsets and/or love lives, but all are welcome!

Hoop Dance & Fitness Classes

Notes for all students:
1. If it is your first time to the studio watch our YouTube Video on how to get there.
2. Also, for first timers to the studio please come a bit early to fill out paperwork if you haven't already via email.
3. Please come a bit early for payment if you haven't already paid online or by phone.
4. Wear comfy clothes that give you full range of motion.
4. The studio is located in a warehouse area. The area is patrolled, our building has security, and our building is secured. It looks a bit rougher than it really is. Even so, we encourage everyone to leave in groups.

 

All Levels Hoop Dance

A hoop workout to tone your abdominals, strengthen core muscles, increase cardiovascular stamina and find the rhythm you never knew you had. Hula hooping is a high-energy, sexy and whimsical activity that will elevate your mood and help keep you fit! This class will basic waist hooping (duh!), arm hooping, off the body moves and building strength.

Intermediate and advanced hoopers can benefit from taking a beginner class and focusing on their outflow (opposite direction) and with smaller hoops. There is always room to strengthen core hooping skills and experimenting with new approaches to familiar movements. Everyone is welcome! Try taking the entire class in your outflow (opposite hooping direction. Try taking the entire class using a smaller size hoop. Challenge yourself to re-evaluate motion. Be creative and have fun exploring.

A variety of professional style hoops are provided to use during class. If you do have your own hoop, please bring it to class. Please do not bring a toy store Hula-Hoop®.

A variety of hoops made by the instructor will be for sale, custom orders available.

Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement.

 


Open Studio Practice

Ongoing drop-in practice time for current students in ANY CLASS. Dance space will be open and the mirror free. A couple poles will be set up for pole students too. You will not receive instruction but you will have space to practice what you've already learned. An instructor will be available to spot pole students as needed.


Hoop Fitness Facts

HoopDance is an expressive and unique form of dance incorporating the use of a modern adult size hula hoop. Hoopdance involves technical dance moves, freestyle art form in dance, and what is known as "tricks" with the hoop.
• Spinning the hoop around your waist works your core, hips thighs, gluts, and abs.
• When you add upper body moves, you are getting a complete resistance training and cardio workout for the entire body
• Facilitates joy and laughter
• As for calorie burning, the results are off the charts. According to researcher conducted at The Cooper Institute in the Dallas, Texas, who tested the Hoop Workout, the hoop dance exercise burned twice as many calories as riding a bike at 19 miles per hour or running.

• ...Physical therapists are using the Hula Hoop as a rehabilitation device to treat individuals recovering from injury, stroke, and arthritis.
