We will also go over clothing removal, and play with a prop. There is no nudity in this class. THIS CLASS DESCRIPTION MIGHT STILL BE UPDATED BETWEEN NOW AND CLASS TIME. CHECK BACK HERE FOR ANY UPDATED INFO ON WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO CLASS.
#2: 1pm - 3pm
Burlesque Hip Hop Fusion with Chicago's Own Community Chest, Cruel Valentine
In this class, students will learn how to incorporate elements of hip-hop dance within the context of the sensual allure of the striptease. The class will participate in a warm-up exercise focused on basic jazz and hip-hop technique and then learn a short combination. No nudity is required for this class.
What to bring to the workshop:
• Jazz sneakers, if available (any split-sole street sneaker will also do, but please bring something to wipe down the bottoms so as not to damage or soil the studio floor. Jazz shoes or ballet shoes are also acceptable. No heels! What? No heels!)
• Tight-fitting, supportive dance clothes (i.e. a leotard and tights, leggings and a tank top, etc.) so that you can move freely and the instructor can observe and correct the positioning of your body with ease.

• A short skirt that is easily removed.
• A back-closure bra with straps.
• A fun pair of panties that make you feel confident and sexy.

To Clear up any Confusion about Where these Classes are Held....
THE NEW CLEVELAND EXOTIC DANCE STUDIO
3536 Perkins Ave 5th Floor
Cleveland, OH 44114
I-90 to Chester Ave. Take Chester heading EAST. At Chester and E.36th take a left onto E.36th. Then take a right onto Perkins. On the left hand side, you'll see 3631 Perkins then a large parking lot. Pull into this parking lot and head back to the far end of the parking lot furthest away from the street. It's a big long building because 3635 (where we're at) is attached to the rear of 3631 (which is the address you see from the street). Another way to know if you're in the right place is to find the last tree in the parking lot. You'll see 3635 and our door near the last tree.
A Note About Physical Contact Between Instructor & Student (All classes)

Also, if at any point you would like the instructor to discontinue physical contact during class, please notify your instructor and any contact will cease immediately. Cruel Valentine has spent the past several years singing, acting and of course dancing her way across the nation. She blends her training and experience in theatre and spoken word as well as vocal and instrumental music and dance to create arresting, multifaceted numbers. Flawlessly fusing jazz, hip-hop, tap, ballet, swing, poetry, song, and performance art, she never refuses any opportunity to "go there", make a mess, or stretch the limits of her art forms. She is a producer and teacher with Girlie-Q, Chicago's only queer burlesque. She also performs regularly with many of Chicago's top burlesque companies as well as producing her own projects.
